There is a built-in movie maker with Google Earth Pro that allows you to create .wmv movies of your Google Earth pans and zooms. The Pro version sells for $400, but you can download a free trial for 7 days without paying.

So if you can figure it all out in 7 days and make your movie, you're home free.

There are probably programs out there, but the simplest way would be to hit your print screen keyboard button and copy and paste it into Photoshop or Paint (although I despise Paint, it's really good for quick crops.)

The print screen keyboard button just copies whatever you are viewing on your screen at that moment. So if you hit print screen, paste this into paint, you can crop out only the box with the map in it, and save it as a jpeg, gif, or whatever. Do this a bunch of times and you can have a sequence to use as just images or put them into a slideshow.

[Edit]
For reference, the print screen button is usually near scroll lock above the number pad on a normal keyboard, or up near the F1s or Del on laptops. It literally says Print Screen.
