I've done this! Don't feel too bad. First thing. Remove the battery. Next, with the battery cover off, use a hairdryer and dry it out - this may take a while. Then, (i know this sounds really odd) let it cool to room temperature and put it in the refridge for an hour or so. Then repeat the hair dryer thing.
When it comes back to room temperature, replace the battery and charge it. It quite possiblly make come back to life - mine did. The verizon tech (he was laughing) said they get this call all the time. You may have to replace the battery if it shorted. Mine didn't.

good luck, drippy!

Don't feel bad. I accidently dropped my cordless phone in the toliet. Stupid me. It dried out and worked for a while but eventually had to buy a new one. I don't think repairing it will do any good but to be on the safe side go to where you bought it and let a tech. tell you.

There is a 1% you can repair it, if it was in there for under 1 minute, you have little hope.
The water should have got in the phone and to the root of the memory (card, stick) and destroyed your phone.
My suggestion, buy a new phone.

Take the battery out and open up any and all little ports, rubber seals, anything that keeps moisture from getting in. Let it sit for a week and try again. Chances are it's toast.

buy a new phone. you COULD try to have it repaired but once they give you an estimate for repair, you'll say screw it and go out and but another phone. Might wanna be more careful next. Trust me, if you decide to get it repaired, it'll cost you BIG TIME.

if it was off when it was washed... their is a very slim chance it may survive... take it apart and dry it out completely... 3 days worth at least... put it back together and stick on the charger.... stand back and good luck...

fairly certain you will have to pick up a new phone... phone Vs water... i'd bet on water everytime

good luck...
