Bob Woodward is a journalist. He is for whatever he thinks will sell his books, as he was once for whatever he thought would sell newspapers. This meant being anti-Nixon once, later it meant being anti-Reaan, then anti-Clinton. He thought being pro-Bush would sell, then when the tide turned and Americans saw through Bush, he became anti-Bush. He's a craven opportunist. In two years, he'll be anti-Hillary.
Having said that, we still owe him a great debt. Without him, Nixon would probably have finished his term and done God only knows what other harm.

You're a sad, pathetic little man. Unlike you, we don't crawl up a reporter's @ss over his story. The story is NOT Woodward, it's the White House ! Would you accept the views of an Obama supporter, former Clinton Advisor? Lanny Davis's comments on Woodward: "If it did happen again, Davis believes the administration did it to the wrong person. "Firstly, you don't threaten anyone. Secondly, you don't threaten Bob Woodward," said Davis. "He's one of the best reporters ever. He's factual. You can disagree with facts that he reports, but he's factual. Don't mess with him about his facts. You can mess with him about the interpretation of his facts, but this is not a reporter you tangle with," he added.

I don't believe he's ever publicly acknowledged affiliation with either party. Because of his work on the Watergate scandal he's often branded as a Democrat, though his relatively fair-minded books about the current administration show he's not the wild-eyed liberal many conservatives would consider him to be.
By and large, I think he's more of a wonk who likes being around politics than he is a partisan of either side.

I would say he's independent - non-partisan. He's a journalist who doesn't wear his poltics on his sleeve - unlike some.
I like Anderson Cooper too.
