I called and complained, but they did nothing. I'd like to know if I have any legal options, or just some good advice!

Escalate, Escalate, Escalate! If the first person doesn't tell you what you want, ask for their supervisor. So on and so forth until someone tells you what you want to hear.

When you signed a contract with them, you were under the impression that the rates were locked in. You were not notified of a price change, if you were you would have changed your amount of usage. Tell them you will pay the regular rate for the past month and then you will pay the new rate...

Hope this helps!

Normally they are supposed to send you something that notifies you that prices are changing. However, being faceless mega corporations, all of them have clauses in the contract you sign stating something to the effect that "prices are subject to change at any time" etc. That's how they protect themselves in cases like this. Remember, you're not even a small fish to them. you're more like microscopic krill adrift in the ocean. They could really care less if you're unhappy or not. Complaining, let alone any legal action, will not do anything for you except piss you off even further.

That depends. Were you on a plan with text messaging? If you were, then they have broken the contract. When you signed up for this plan, you signed a contract that says you're on a plan and it costs X amount each month. Climb the chain of command.

If you weren't on a plan, then there's not much you can do. You could climb the chain of command on this one to get the new charges for text messaging taken off, but you'll have to watch it in the future.

Some where in the fine print of your contract it probably states they can change the rates at any given time and what the notice would be. Check your contract and your statements. It more than likely is legal.

I say this because of the fact the first public is incoming, as you have suggested. i think of your daughter could help pay for her component to the invoice. you additionally can positioned a block on the texting characteristic, yet have her acquire a messaging app, like Kik, or Google Hangouts, the place she and her acquaintances can message for loose. she would be able to easily could desire to make she is employing wireless and not records. in case you like her to have endless texting so this would not ensue back, you've her pay the extra desirable value consistent with month. i think it relatively is $15 or $20 consistent with month.
