My son has an extra toe on each foot. In the beginning, it was difficult buying him shoes, but now that he is older, I can buy wide shoes for him, but he goes through shoes quicker. He has become quite the celebrity with his teen brothers friends.

Why, did you lose one?
Since I've never had extras I don't know if it is an advantage or not. When I was a kid I used to put an olive on each fingertip and then eat them. I guess if I had an extra finger then I would have had an extra olive.I guess that would make it an advantage!!!LOL

A guy that used to live next door to me in the dorms, has an extra toe. It was really creepy when he'd walk around with no shoes on.

My mother-in-law, who is now in her 70's, was born with 11 toes. She had a problem with her balance not to mention they couldn't find shoes to fit her. So when she was a toddler, they had to have the extra toe removed.

I always counted everything on my kids and grand kids when they were born. With good reason. lol

A friend of mine had an extra toe on both feet. She had them removed when we were very young. Now you can't even see where they were. Also when she gave birth to her eldest daughter she had an extra toe on her left foot. It wasn't very big. She had it removed when she was still an infant.

I used to know someone with two extra thumbs. I don't think she ever used them though.
