I think it is a franchise. Have seen different guys with the sign over the last 10 years. He does pull in the bucks. Homeless are a big problem in Vegas but I think he is an entrepreneur. It is sad to see the homeless especially when they are families. I am sorry but his need for a "drink" does not amuse me. I would rather give money to help a child than a drunk.

Okay, seen plenty. In need of .70 for bus fare twice, same time of day at same intersection.

Another needed just $7.00 more to get into a shelter. I think that lad wanted his cd music money.

Another food/drink/cash sign. Same place daily on way home from work.

YES! I saw him last year. As someone else mentioned he sits on the skywalk between the MGM and the Tropicana. I gave him a buck for the laugh.

i haven't seen the one in Vegas but i am more likely to give a buck to someone who's honest about it than to give money who just doesn't want to work and lies about why they need the money. most of those people ruin it for the ones who truly need the help. if they tell me they are hungry i'll get them food but i don't give them cash.

I never spotted him when I was there, however I frequent St. Augustine, FL, and though this sounds funny, they have the nicest pan-handlers there. I had one come up to me and say, "Man, I'm not gonna bullshit you, I want a bottle, not food". (in a very nice tone) I emptied my pocket of change.

He's been around for years. He used to sit at the I15 offramp to Flamingo.

I once saw a guy in my hometown with a sign that read "Will work for sex". It was a joke obviously, but still funny.
