Instead of just telling us what's going on with the weather, they feel compelled to create BS shows like "It could happen tomorrow!" (Impending doom!! Everybody RUN!!), and Storm Stories. Don't the american people have enough REAL weather tragedies to deal with without having these morons at the weather channel create their own 'what if?" tragedies? I frankly am disgusted and believe that we should start boycotting the "Make-Believe Weather Channel"!!

It drives me insane, especially when I'm out of town and turn to the channel to find out what the weather's going to be like, and instead find one of those shows.

I agree. May I also add that their constant drumbeat of Global Warming is obnoxious as well. If they feel they need to provide more than current conditions and forecasts they should stick to some "Weather 101" lessons to explain how the weather works. But it is ludicrous to not have the current weather and local forecast at least crawling by while they do.

It started out as a useful service but now it is going the same route as MTV.

me very frustrating.
lucky for me I live in Las Vegas they have digital channels owned by the local networks that post the local forecast.
That is fine for me and I read the paper almost every day and check the weather there too.
