In the movie he gets hit and falls in the water..afterwards you dont see him again for the rest of the movie

Well my theory is, in comic books if you don't see the death on camera he will be back. Von Doom is made of metal, he may sink to the bottom of the ocean but he does not have to breathe and is probably walking ashore even as you read this. Burrr! I just got a chill.

We are to assume he is gone forever now until the next movie comes out and he "magically" finds a way to return
