In 2003 I had 2 cysts' on my right ovary and had my right ovary removed. Prior to that after my 3rd pregnancy I had my tubes tied. Since then, most of my periods are painful on the right side of my pelvic area. I also just recently had my gallbladder removed for pain in the upper right quadrant of my abdomin. The pain prior to that surgery is also still there. Now I have pain in the pelvic area again on the right side even if I'm not on my period. I have a lot of bloating of the stomach most of the time. I was told years ago that I have IBS, but this feels different from that. Could this be something serious, or could it be as simple as scar tissue? I worry about endometriosis and even cancer. Looking for someone with similar symptoms and what it may be caused by. Unfortanely I have not had an exam in a while and have just made an appointment for this. Any ideas???

Yes, this could be related to scar tissue and endometriosis. The best way to deal with endometriosis once diagnosed (if it is that) is to have a doctor that is experienced with removing endo remove as much as possible. Removing as much of the endometrial tissue can often give years of relief.

Some of the symptoms with endometriosis can be such that it will make a doctor think it's IBS when it's not. I have been thru this.
