Yes I have seen a couple of news blurbs on it; the worst was a group of high school students taking he American flag down, then raising a Mexican flag with the U.S. flag being flown upside down underneath it. I have not heard of it outside of California but I am sure it has happened elsewhere. And some Hispanic leaders do not understand why illegal immigration has become such a subject. Knowing many Hispanics from being stationed in California many years and Hispanics in the Marines and military I do not think this is a widespread problem with legal immigrants or Hispanics cit zens of the U.S..
The flag upside down is a sign of distress or surrender. It is extremely disrespectful and I do not hope to see it around my area. Freedom of speech is one of the things the military defends; too bad the gutless have to take advantage of it.

I feel Mr. Dick should go to Mexico and put up an American flag above the Mexican flag and see if there is any reaction! When I lived in the Middle East I respected their flag and their country and came home to put a flag pole up where I could fly our American flag everyday. This is America and if they want to celebrate their Mexican holidays then they should go back to Mexico and celebrate!

No,,,I hav'nt seen that but I wonder what their intended point is.I find it ironic to hear that considering that flying the flag upside down is a distress signal, and with the flood of illegal aliens sucking our welfare system dry and their children displacing american children from the classrooms and with so many cities becoming sancuaries that refuse to co-operate with the federal authorities to report illegals for deportation and employers using illegals for cheap labor while American families are going hungry from a lack of work that this country is in a distressed state.I have nothing against immigration as lond as it's done legally.A congressman published a report showing that 25 innocent American men, women, and children die every day from traffic accidents and violent crime at the hands of illegal aliens.People who should not be here in the first place, many of whom would have been deported if not for the sancuary cities. What a mess!!!

HELL no, In Indiana anyone flying a US flag upside down would get beat down!! They should be pulled over and checked for a green card or SS card.. and if they don't like the USA go back to your country and live in poverty!!
and to all the people that said it a distress signal.... I don't think they really meant for it to mean that or they could have simply turned on the blinkers/flashers like us Americans do!!!!

Yes I see it a lot. I think it is ridiculous, and if they "hate" America so much they should go back to their prideful home-land! In the news in California they reported that some of these same kids took down an American flag and put their Mexican flag up instead....What is this country coming to?
P.S. They OBVIOUSLY are driving around in L.A. -- they are doing it to be JERKS not because they are in need of help!

We have a lot of illegals here in Tulsa, but here in Red State USA, they aren't brave enough to drive around defaming the American Flag.
I always see other folks disrespecting our flags whether it's Iranians, some other Arab whackjobs, or illegal Mexican immigrants. When do we get our turn to burn their flags and mock their nations...and truly they deserve mocking.

We don't see it here in Indiana but we do see them flying a lot of their own countrys flags. I personally think it sucks and their should be a law against what is going on in your town. Flying the American flag upside down in America while they are taking advantage of our aid and welfare, taking our jobs. They should be immediately deported back to where they are so proud to be from.

Have never seen this...but I cannot imagine someone coming to this country to escape the horrors of their own country..either legally or otherwise...using our resources, taking jobs, etc...and then offending us and putting down the very country they RAN to....Am I the only one who can't see the logic in this? Would people in say, France, tolerate this from American's (or whomever?)? If your Latin (or whatever) culture is so precious to you that you feel the need to put down what we have here in the US..then why, OH WHY did you come here????????
