Are the cases/audience even real - or are they a bunch of actors just making TV a bit more interesting.

The show is fake fake fake. I know this for a FACT b/c I had a friend and her gay roomate go on the show they were acting like they were a couple and he was coming out the closet with his real life boyfriend but they played it off really well she was fighting and everything. The audience is real but everything else about that show is scripted even down to the fights

The audience is real. His studio where he tapes is right across from a hotel I worked at. You would see them lining up twice a day. We used to get the guests from his show stay at my hotel. They were without a doubt the WORST people you could ever deal with. What you saw on TV was how they were in my hotel. The hotel management finally had enough of all the crap these guests were pulling and refused to let them stay there anymore. Now the guests are put up in a rather seedy hotel a few blocks away. Jerry, Steve, and all the rest of the crew are pretty nice though. They would come over and get a suite and play cards till real late at night. Sometimes we got a few noise complaints about them and when we asked them to quiet down they would.

They are real, however I think they ham it up for the camera and exaggerate their personalities to try to get more than their 15 minutes of fame. I actually went to a taping just for giggles and the producers encouraged the audience to egg on the guests to create more moments.

I think they are wannabe actors. A while ago, there was a couple that appeared under some pretense of something going on in their lives. A few months before their appearance on "Springer," I saw them (same couple) on another show where he was supposedly some kind of beast who controlled her totally. That's when I knew...I wonder how much these acting 'troupes' get paid. They suck.

That's a good question. I think that it's real, but they just get everybody pumped up before they go on so that it will be easier for peole on that show to start fighting.

i was watching behind the scenes and it is very real! you see they get the crazy people with real problems on the show and get them all fired up before the show so they go crazy and try to kill each other. its so trash though. its always the same thing.

It's real. They could not pay me enough to get beat down like those guests.
