the two.2L Ecotecs that are on the Cavaliers take the cartridge type filters, not the spin-ons. So, to eliminate the cap, you % a 32-mm socket. I have been given mine on the community Murray's decrease cost automobile, especially for the two.2L Ecotec engine in accordance to the equipment. labored like a attraction on my Cobalt to get the oil cap off, The filter out would be linked to the backside of the cap, which would be pried off. positioned the recent filter out on, then reattach the cap, not better than a million/4 turn with the socket wrench after hand-tighten. be constructive to permit the oil drain out of the filter out into the cannister before you eliminate it thoroughly.

a lot of vehicles don't have drain plugs for transmissions, (believe it or not) my '87 lincoln didn't. take a large diameter short length self tapping screw and drill it into the lowest corner ( usually toward the rear of the pan.) of the pan. or since your FWD you'll have to take the pan off.
You may want to second guess your approach to tackling a transmission, your lack of experience could get you into trouble since trannys are pretty picky.

Call you local auto parts store and they might be able to tell you. If not call your local dealership. Also if you buy a repair manual for it it will tell you in there and it also help you in the long run.
