The course in miracles. It taught and untaught me a great deal. A long time ago I thought that love was something that you reserved for some special set of people that you had judged worthy of it.
After a while I got to thinking about what Jesus had said about turning the other cheek and loving our neighbor I put the two together and realized that he had made no exceptions in these statements. It became obvious to me that he intended that we exclude no one from the love that we are supposed to be giving. I started thinking about my idea of love and suddenly realized that I had not been loving anyone at all. I had simply been judging everyone and every thing.
Judging someone worthy of love is not love, it is only judgment. I actually started to cry when I realized this. I saw just how much of my life I had wasted being judgmental, thinking of myself as a Christian, when I was actually doing just the opposite of what Jesus had asked us to do.
I thought about the verse judge not lest ye be judged, and I understood it for the first time.
I realized that I have a lot of catching up to do. So many opportunities were wasted. I now try to apply the love that I have for the world in a universal way like Jesus asks us to do.
If I start to feel afraid and think that I see someone that I should not love because of something I have thought or heard I try to catch my mistake as soon as possible. I tell myself that I have forgot the truth and have fallen for the same old trick that had cost me so many opportunities to be loving in the past. The horror of this realization is often all that is necessary to bring me back to my senses and make me drop the judgmental nonsense I was thinking.
I still have a lot to learn about love, but at least I’m making progress. Without the course I would have never realized this.
Love and blessings

"The Power of Now" by Tolle was the most inspirational book I had ever read until I read "The Disappearance of the Universe" by Gary Renard. It got me back to "A Course in Miracles" which I think is the most incredible book on the planet. The Disappearance of the Universe is a book about "A Course in Micracles" that makes "The Course" much easier to understand and apply. If you are looking for the truth, and the way off of "planet psycho" and back to God, this is it. It is also a fun read.

Capital - Karl Max - the basic point of exploitation in the way the economy is structured.
Crime and Punishment - Dostoyevsky - for the sheer grimness of it, but the mental torture that we all pu tourselves through at times
Thought Gang - Tibor Fisher - Because who else coudl write a book about a deformed, one legged bak robbing Philosopher - Hilarious stuff

Hm.. I certainly can no longer choose for purely one, yet those are my favorites, and maximum of them are inspirational (a minimum of to me) in some way: conflict Royale, wherein a classification of scholars in a dystopian eastern-esque society are relatively positioned on an island and compelled to kill one yet another off until one keeps to be. plant life for Algernon, wherein a mentally challenged guy undergoes an experimental operation that reinforces his intelligence. Harry Potter.. i'm effective you be responsive to what it relatively is approximately. A Separate Peace, wherein a prep college boy struggles with paranoia and jealousy on the subject of his time-honored maximum suitable pal. One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, which describes the reports of a guy in a psychological corporation whilst a rebellious new guy tries to crack the tyrannical rule of the top nurse.

Probably Colin Powell's autobiography. When Powell entered the military there were restaurants which would not serve him. He grew up middle class and went to a public college in New York. His father was not the President, his family money and influence did not get him admission to an Ivy League university. He did not even attend West Point. Before he retired he became the country's highest-ranking military officer.

'THE HIDING PLACE" by Corrie Ten Boom
I could not believe nor understand the vast amount of love one person could have for the human race. She was a living testimony for how we are suppose to treat one another. Her story or survival during the Holocaust and the lives she help to save is so inspirational that at time I had to stop reading because it was overwhelming. Enjoy.

"The Secret" by Rhonda Byrnes. It's such a powerful philosophy to believe that we are the masters behind our own universe. The movie is also fantastic. There are so many helpful quotes. It's about the law of attraction and anything we think about comes to fruition. Pretty amazing. I've known about it for over a year now, and it really does work!
