politicians & their families collect BIG BUCKS in soc. sec because they voted to receive , but not pay. can this be changed?

That's strange. I understood that they had their OWN retirement system that ISN'T less than a decade from insolvency. But no, those fine 'gentlemen' make the highest laws in the land. Only the Supreme Court could overturn that, and they have no reason to.
This is WHY the Founding Fathers expected regular revolutions to happen in the US. I suspect that they would be sadly disappointed in us.

For the same reason they want to give away our money to illegals who don't contribute anything to the system - because it's free money.

First they should NOT collect. Second don't count on it to change.
