Honestly... Who's willing to call a truce?

It seems that somewhere along the line somebody decided it would be really fun to try to make our playground a haven for McCarthyism and abject dysfunction. The events of late have degraded to just short of gang warfare. You know darn well what I mean. This is past the point of being pathetic.

It *is* possible to disagree without being disagreeable. Who's ready to put the principles before the personalities again? Who's willing to raise the white flag so we can all regroup before P&S implodes? We either stand together or get banned alone, friends.

Mek, you've got a point there, hon. Still, war only begets more war. Somebody's got to make a move towards resolution. Nobody needs to cave into anyone's unrealistic, fascist agendas. It's not about who started it. Let's just effing stop it.

Agreed, Shaz. It's a minority wreaking havoc for the majority. No names mentioned, but they've skillfully managed to pit friends against friends and have fostered a pall of guilt by suspicion. And that's just a fraction of the subterfuge. How do we counter against the clone breeders? It's insanity!

I've been trying to be polite with my answers here, but with people like you who ask very pointed questions, in hopes that you will corner someone of the opposite belief and beat them into submission, at times that is very hard to do. Occasionally, yes, I do get sarcastic with my answers. Those are usually the answers I go back into and delete later. I could ask tons of questions on here about why liberals do this and why liberals do that, but I generally don't. I try to make my questions be general, in your opinion sorts of questions. And no, I don't always give best answer to someone I agree with. If someone can make a good argument without being rude or throwing curses in every sentence, they're a good candidate for best answer in my book. However, some people come here ONLY for partisan bickering and have no tolerance for anything said against their side (or their party's presidents). That's no way to have a conversation, in my book. Not to sound rude or anything... but usually it's a liberal who will call for a "truce" and then break said truce rather quickly. I will try to continue to be civil with you. Hopefully you can keep up your end of the bargain.

Being quite honest, I don't know what the hell is goin' on.
All I do know is when I first came over here several months ago. I had a BLAST!! You could joke around with people and it was just was just PURE fun. I think somewhere along the line, someone could dish it out
but couldn't take it. It was off to the races then!! Now this is pure speculation on my part, I don't really know. Just food for thought!! Everyone, Hope ya have a GREAT WEEKEND!!

I haven't been a P&Ser for very long, but when I started I would laugh out loud reading the answers here. The cats ran from me because they thought I was nuts, but it felt so good to chuckle. Then it got pretty ugly and people disappeared left and right so I left for a bit.
I'm all for peace and having fun with all of you. And finding a way to make Buk a permanent presence.

I gave a star too, now I'm going to have to try and put it into practice. I do a LOT of disagreeing on the Politics site. Sometimes, not often, I can get snippy and put something there that serves no purpose other than to make someone else angry or upset. We need to take the higher road.

I honestly didn't know there was a war. Just thought people hated each other and sometimes without a cause.
If I need to raise a white flag, I will. Still would like to know why I would need to. If I supposedly did something wrong, I'd really like to know what it was.

Were we dealing with adults with adult reasoning skills, this could be accomplished quite quickly... BUT..

We are dealing with self-indulgent spoiled little kiddies who think the world owes them everything and they can do WTH they please.. damn the consequences.

Until that attitude changes, we are all peeing into the wind... We can do our part, but until yahoo has the stones to make Y!A a place where you have to register and provide something that cant be forged or duplicated to set up your ID...this place will always be a " de facto" AOL chat room...

EDIT... You know... I was willing to let things just blow over, but after Friday nites board spamming of avatar games and someone reporting me because I didnt agree to play their game... Now the gloves are off, and I'll report every, and I do mean EVERY avatar game I see...

I was kind of hoping that when school starts back up , then maybe things would get back to the way they were a few months ago.
Not to insult students, but some of the issues seem to come with the summer months.

I'm waving the white flag, though I don't think I've done anything to upset anyone. I just wish everyone could get along, and stop the bitching and reporting for no good reason.

It's amazing how after a great gesture of resolution and peace, the biggest hater of all STILL wants to fight. Whatever. I'm tired of it, I have done NOTHING wrong to anyone, yet still get violations for God knows what. If that is what makes your sad little heart sleep better at night, so be it. But will sleep better knowing that I had no more part of it, and did the best I could to make things a little better. I love you Damn family, we all know we're not about hate and reporting, but humor, and we will all be the better person(s) for stepping down.

But DO NOT think I won't defend myself or friends if openly attacked again.
