No you have a wrong information on the birth control pill.

To explain you, birth control pills stop production of ovum so there is no pregnancy. It does so by being hormone in itself. These hormones suppress the normal cyclical activity of the pitutary gland in brain and the ovaries thereby.

Once these pills are stopped then the cyclical activity of the pitutary gland and the ovaries is restored and fertility returns. In few cases it may take a bit longer but usually not more than 6 months.

Pills may lead to weight gain and these extra pounds at times are responsible for infertility. Failure in return of spontaneous ovulation may RARELY need some treatment.

Over all pills are a good choice.

The duration of consumtion of the pill does not have any relation to any of these.

That was said when bc pills came out, but they had a very high dose of hormones.
Nowadays, bc pills have very similar hormones to the ones the woman has, and they are also very low dose to allow you have children after stopping the medication.
So it is a myth that happened due to the bc pills that they selled before. In fact those women took breaks from their bc pills, due to the high dose of hormones.
But they can affect every woman different too.

Good luck! ;D

Well, yeah. If you are on birth control... you are not going to be able to have children... It seems rather obvious to me.
