He is really interested in you, and then when it matters - he doesn't take it to the next level all of a sudden. What does this mean?

When you say didn't take your number what do you mean exactly. Are you saying he did not ask for it? If that is the case maybe you could have asked for HIS number? Are you kind of shy when it comes to that part of things?? Cause sometimes when a person is shy it is misunderstood as non-interest.

Can you put yourself in contact with him again and ask for his number?

For no legitimate reason I can articulate, I get the vibe that you're shy in real life. If I'm right, then he interpreted it as a lack of interest on your part? You could try and rekindle it by showing interest in him, and see if he warms back up. If he does, then I was right.

Or you caught his fancy at first because he thought you were kinda hot, and then he decided there were differences in personality?

I know this used to happen to me a lot as well. Frustrating, and puzzling.

It means "He's just not that into you" which happens to be the title of a book about relationships you might find really helpful at this time in your life.

Your school library probably doesn't have it, but your public library almost certainly does.

The author is a guy named Greg Behrendt, and he's funny as well as smart.

He's probably moved on to someone else. It's a rude, callous and rather sh!tty way of doing it, but it happens more often than not.

Why does he have to do all the work? Why didn't you do something? It takes two people to make a relationship work. Where you too shy?

Maybe he's just a flirt.. On the other hand, you could be misunderstanding his actions... Maybe he would like for you to do the chasing instead.
