No. Hens will lay eggs regardless.

Hens do not need a rooster to lay eggs but for them to be fertile and produce a chick you need a rooster.
If you have even seen any birds breed a chicken does it the same way.

No. But for a baby chick to hatch from the egg, they need to do the deed.

No. The egg is formed either way. The rooster is there to fertilize the egg, or else it won't hatch.
