with matt millen running the team who knows!!!! its time for the Lions to step up though, i can see them winning 3 out of 4 and i will bet the spread on that! no reason why Detroit cant go 9-7 or 10-6... if not ford needs to sell the team or fire all management, hes doing things like his auto and we all know the troubles fords have!

Well, some of the idiots on the team are saying they are a playoff team. They said the same last year, and that turned out to be a little bit of a false statement. They will lose to Philly and Chicago, but should compete against Oakland and Minnesota. They will lose 3 of the 4. But they will win the first game, and all the stories will be about the great turn-around, after one game!

Impossible to know, the games have to be played for a reason. This is the NFL, where the worst always has a realistic shot to beat the best.

Minnesota and Oakland are two of the best defenses in contrast with two of the worst offenses. So those ones would be O vs. D matchups, where usually the D has the edge (but anything can happen).

Especially the Raiders secondary is good enough to stop Detroit's passing game.

They can beat Philly, who knows if by then McNabb gets hurt and Kolb makes his first NFL start.

Don't forget how Arizona almost pull the upset vs. Chicago. And how Miami embarrased the Bears 31-13.

No. Chicago will be the only one I think that they will lose for sure. They'll beat Oakland for sure, and the other two are a toss up, but they surely will not go 0-4 right off the bat.

I think CJ will be what Reggie was last year, more of a precaution than a star. Teams are going to double and triple team him, opening holes for Kitna to get it to Williams or any other receiver. He will still be the threat and have a good year, but don't expect to see him getting every pass.

F the lions, I win bets every year, people bet me they will go 8-8 and I'll take that bet anytime. The lions will beat oakland and then lose the next 6, maybe win one more and lose like 3 straight, they will end up 4-12 no better. Every year its the same hype here, I bet MSU has a better chance at having a winning season then the lions. DON'T BELIEVE THE MEDIA HYPE, THE PROBLEMS GO A LOT DEEPER THEN THE PLAYERS!

Oakland and Minnesota will be thier best chances to win but I think they will go 1-3 with a win over the Raiders.

They start 1-3. They beat either Oakland or Minnesota but not both. My pick is they beat the Vikings. Oakland has a very good defense.

I'm from Michigan and I've been a Broncos fan ever since Barry left. There's no point in even hoping for a .500 season. Matt Millen is pathetic as are the next 10 years of the Lion's organization.
