Personally, I think the 92 to 95 929 was a rolling work of art. Do you see the 929 or Millenia being collectible in the future?

Terrence B, I feel the same way about the 92-95 929 design. It is truly art in motion.

They are both great cars. Finally someone else who appreciates the design of the 1992-1995 929!! That car is truly a work of art. Every museum in the world should have one on display so that people can truly see the fluid lines of that car. I've never owned one but I know an excellent design when I see one. Unfortunately, they suck in the trunk space department. The Millenia was a great car but noone really noticed it. This is just another example of Mazda screwing up another great car by failing to aggressively market it. If either of these did become a collectible, I think that the 929 would be the most sought after.

I agree with the 1st 2 guys, neither car is likely to be collectible or desired, just look at this yahoo board 1/2 the questions are about the RX-7 or RX-8. Both of these cars scored rather poor on the expert reviews you included in the link, 50 out of 100 for the 929 and 52 for the Millenia...this experts must be really hard to please, I can't see either car being below a 70-75 when it was new.
As for the sales/consumer appeal of the Millenia, I live in the DC area and about 90% of the Millenia owners are black, maybe that's due to the high ratio of black to other races, but the car seemed to appeal esspecially to them. On the other hand the RX-8 is mostly driven by white folks in the DC area.

both....there arnt many 929s around my area and when i see one i am usually disapointed at its condition cus when i first saw one 15 or more years ago i thought it was a jaguar...and when i see a cleaned up one thats not being used as a 15 year old protege might its a real treat...it may being collecting a orphan but its a rare treat right now.the millenia is a beautiful car and may not have the rarity of the 929 they currently are still sought after as a fully loaded personal luxury car, one with cloth seats and the 2.5 engine may not be desirable but s models are the hot item providing the are working good

Collectible? Like a '65 Mustang? Or a 57' Chevy?
I dont see either of those cars being a collectible....
Sorry.
But I personally liked the bodystyle of the Millenia better.
