You are very right. Everyday gets one more day closer to the world ending.
We are ending our world with pollution. We are polluting our Ozone layer and it's not that thick in the first place. It's actually very thin and we are thinning it out even more and without it, we will not survive.
We are chemical freaks, we are also destroying ourselves, our minds, our unborn children. I feel that the chemicals that we breathe are causing disorders that we haven't discovered yet. Look at all the chemicals in our lives from hairspray to air freshener then there is gasoline exhaust and chemical plants. Nucluar testing and back down to perfume and deoderant. We are aging ourselves, we are killing ourselves before our time all in the name of progress. The next generation will suffer just a bit more than the last and so on.

I am so happy that you asked this question. I used to say the same thing until a good friend showed me this Scripture that holds out a promise for the future that involves me, and you yourself, and every individual on this earth. It is found in the book of Psalms, chapter 37, verses 10, 11, and 29. And you are welcome to look this up in your own copy of the Bible. It says: "And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace....The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it." I hope that you draw hope and comfort from the Scripture as I have many thousand times before. :)

The World is not Dying, it is up to the People to make amends for being negative of some things that we ourselves can control. I do not think, that the weather is worse than Years past. The next generation would be more smarter than we are, and would know how to take care of themselves, and the universe.

i agree but i hope we can do something to help to make the future better for the next generation and beyond. the weather is very unpredictable one day its really hot in January and then during the summer its kinda cool. i would like for more people to realize how much we need to do to protect the little bit we have left. we all want a future but if we want it so badly we can start with recycling and making sure we don't waste what we have that way in the future we can have something to use.

The world is not dying..It is evolving into something you can only consider better or worse..the Future is 'abandon ship.'.like rats from a sinking vessel .. Do not despair, the next generation has been prepared for this...many years ago..but to the eventual chagrin of the 'authorities' who have revelled in the profits planned and made in your bequest...'the dust will blow forward and the dust will blow back' and so it goes.Be Happy.LOL.

I'm with Annie on this one...

Sure, the sun will eventually burn out or an asteroid will trigger another ice age, the ways all life could be extinguished on earth is only limited by your imagination.

But as far as war and weather goes, we are at relatively calm point in history.

It will be a less beautiful world because there is so much destruction and waste but young minds can learn to make better choices and begin again. Possibly, in our oceans or another planet but after what we've done to our own, it is unlikely that we'll be allowed to destroy another world. I'm teaching children to have hope. What are you teaching them?

At our current rate of growth, we'll be at 10 billion souls in 50 years, zero fossil fuels, zero coal and other natural resources. Wars will be fought over water.

Will technology save the day?...maybe. Will we change our ways and live more 'green' to avoid the impending train wreck?....doubtful. Will there be some cataclysmic event that will bring us back down to more sustainable levels?....probably.

We can try to change the future of the next generation by our own little efforts! Not just by thinking, but doing it ourselves. Small things together can make big improvements.

with negativity like that your doomed to seeing nothing but bad things. instead, embrace what is good and show some gratitude for what brings love and good things into your life. Go hug someone, take a vacation in a sunny tropical paradise. teach a kid a life lesson. do something.
