My friend, the heart of a person is the center of emotion. Heart cannot be used as a means of communication. You could show affection, loneliness, happiness, sorrow but it stops there. Communication through the heart could hardly be made. Your assumption may be correct to say that they could not talk at first or utter words to say a complete sentence. Remember that uttering of short words could a basis of communication including etching may be a way of communication. Again the heart cannot be the basis for first human language.

Like animals.
My dog liked to run with boys she would meet in the parks. She had to let them know she wanted them to run so she would run towards them then run away, stop, look to see it they were coming then try it again until she made them understand they were to run with her. She gave them non verbal invitations to run and they all figured it out.
Another dog loved to fetch and would bark at you if you failed to throw the ball. You always knew exactly what the problem was.
Human infants do the same sorts of things, cry when hungry, scream when in pain, fuss when sick, I am sure the first human communication was the same sort of things perhaps a parent comforting a child with soothing noises that soon they both understood.

I completely agree with "Juefawn". Languages and communications are the fruits of the human brain, not the heart.

What?

The heart is a metaphoric symbol for the source of the flow of both good and evil.
We don't really have a "heart" that feels, or talks, or thinks.
Its all the brain.

All of it. Chimps and baboons have sounds that express anything from tenderness to KILL! Language is certainly not only sound. So you get to pick.
