I think I pretty much answered this here on your other question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AnpPLL6hlxeDUEE2L7Fz9xnsy6IX?qid=20070814120909AArDYOO

You may have success at the Main Street Bakery for example or one of the resort bakeries, but if you want a custom cake, especially for dining, they have to be ordered at least 48 hours in advance. There's about an $8 charge for a character to be added to it and they can do just about anyone except for a Winnie the Pooh character.

My husband had his birthday at Ohana at the polynisian resort. I called them to ask them if I could bring a cake and they said no (I live in FL) if you are doing it in a restaurant in any of the theme parks, let them know that you need a cake when you make a reservation. They will give you the restaurant direct number and they will give you some options depending on your party. They are super good (like all disney food).

in the theme park I think that if you go to any of the restaurant they can probably sell you one, or if in Magic Kingdom you might wanna try the Confectionary or bakery store in Main Street.

Happy Bday!

Check out this information from All Ears:

"Birthday Cakes may be ordered by contacting your Disney resort room service or the Lobby Concierge desk. Decorated cakes are available through the Goodings Bakery located at Crossroads, call 407-827-1200.

ALL EARS® Team Member Glo in Miami passes on this info from her 8/05 trip: We celebrated our granddaughter's 2nd birthday with dinner at Chef Mickey's and wanted a special birthday cake for her. I called the main switchboard (1-407-824-2222) two days in advance and asked to be transferred to Chef Mickey's. (Make sure you tell the operator you're NOT trying to make reservations or you will be transferred to the dining line... and try not to call during the busy breakfast or dinner hours. You can do this for any WDW restaurant you're dining at, by the way.) The Cast Member I spoke with made sure I knew that desserts were included on Chef Mickey's buffet and also that a complimentary cupcake could be served... but we wanted an actual cake. The Cast Member asked if we wanted (1) chocolate or white cake; (2) chocolate mousse or vanilla filling; (3) chocolate or vanilla buttercream frosting and (4) birthday Mickey or birthday Minnie on the top of the cake. Cost was $16 (plus tax) for a 6-inch cake and had to be paid for in advance, at the time the cake was ordered. When we arrived at Chef Mickey's, the hostess let us know that the cake order had been received and would be brought to our table at the appropriate time, and it was. We chose vanilla cake with chocolate mousse filling and vanilla frosting. The cake was delicious! And the Mickey sprinkles were a really cute added touch. When we were finished, our server brought us the cake box so we could take the "leftovers" with us. "

And also see their page about birthdays for more info about what you can do: http://allearsnet.com/pl/bdayad.htm
