Yes, there are some who should not even have the right to take of a snake. The State should not put kids in a foster home just to get rid of them, they need strict guidelines and stick to it. Putting a child in a foster home they should keep control on the foster parents to make sure they taken care of at all times.

It's just like anything else. CNN doesn't show up unless something horrible has happened. There are no big trucks with satellite dishes everytime a kid graduates high school goes on to have a great life who was in foster care.
It's just the horror stories. One of the guys who used to work for me when I was a cop was a foster parent and he and his wife worked very hard to provide a stable home for those kids. Some of the kids were a mess and did bad things but that is partially explained by how they ended up in foster care anyway.
I think it is just like buying a used car, sometimes you get lemons and it is tragic for the kids who go to those homes and I am truly sorry for the ones who do.

honestly, yes. I was a foster child for awhile and I went through some bad ones. But the last place I was at was a really nice woman. And, now, my older sister is a foster parent. She treats those children extremely well. You only hear of a handful of foster parents and you only hear about them when they do something stupid or illegal. The ones who do what they are supposed to do, do it without publicity.

Yes. I've been in a couple of foster homes where I was badly abused (especially the one in which I was eventually adopted), however, I've also been in 1 or 2 in which the parents there were some of the best people you could meet.

Yeah I don't think there are out there...I have known about 3 kids in foster care and the parents are horrible.

My mother is a great foster parent, and is a brilliant mother. Her foster child loves her dearly.

Not where I live. A kid in foster homes dies once a day.I'm not lying it's on the news and in the newspaper

I agree. I was a foster kid, & I have a bunch of horror stories to tell. I can write a book.
