Aren't they just the best books ever? Just read the one published post-mortum, Aztec Rage. It was awesome.

I haven't read the Explorer, but thanks for the tip. I'm going to pick it up. Aztec Series: Aztec, Aztec Blood, Aztec Autumn, Aztec Rage (last one). Enjoy!!

I read the first. I didn't realize there was more than 1. Thanks for the info. I will be going to the library today!!! Have you read Gary's book The Journyer. I think it was his best. It is about Marco Polo and his travels. Not boring though! It is awesome. Also if you like Gary Jennings try Sho Gun by James Clavell and Pillars of the Earth (can't remember the author and he is pretty famous!)

I too did not realize there was a series. I also only read the first book, but interestingly, for some inexplicable reason gave up about 50 pages from the end. I don't remember why, but I had had enough of something....

Aztec is my favorite book of all time. I've read all the other Aztec-themed ones, but GJ didn't write any of them. They were all postmortem. He died in 1999.
My 2nd fav by him is Raptor, then Journeyer, with Spangle (broken up into 3 paperbacks, but it's one hardcover) in last place.
