Were on a 512kbps DSL metered interent plan. This is fine except for when our internet usage reaches 10GB then the speed is limited to 64kbps. My flat mate downloads movies and music all the time and with a week weve maxed out the 10gb and our speed is limited to 64kbps for the rest of the month. is there anyway to bypass this limit set by the ISP

Change ISP's.
How silly, that is like buying 5 minutes on a Cell Phone, Next they'll leave you at your correct speed if you want to pay more money. I would switch to one that doen't have restrictions.

I doubt there is any way to bypass that since it's on the ISP's side.

I'd go cable if it's available in your neighborhood. DSL plans just seem to suck altogether.

I have a similar type of deal.

When I reach the top limit, they shape me down to a much lower speed.

That's when I change over to P-MAIL.

Most of the time it's pretty reliable, but the pigeon feed is getting darned expensive.

No, sorry.

I would look for another plan.
