I live in the U.S. and although there are still some old laws on the books where someone who commits adultery can be charged with a felony (Michigan) have never heard of anyone getting prosecuted for it. Usually you have grounds for divorce (although isn't needed to get a divorce).

I have heard in other countries (such as Iran) where if the woman commits adultery she is stoned to death in public.

Your question is very vague and confusing.

If your spouse has an affair while out of the country (or in it), you have the right to divorce them, and can most likely hold onto the majority of your assets if you can prove that they had the affar.

Though it might depend on pre-nuptial agreements, and who has the better lawyer.
