I have the same problem and it's very annoying. I keep blotter sheets with me to "suck up" the oil, while I am at work or anywhere I don't want my oily face to be noticed. The product that I found that has worked best for me is Origins Products. Try using Checks and Balances face wash, Never a Dull Moment face cleanser, and Get Down deep pore clay cleanser. They actually have a whole line of facial cleaners and make-up. If you really want your skin to be healthy and you don't mind spending a little money to do it, then I think you will like the Origins products. I've included the link to the website below.

I have exactly the same skin type. What i use, for foundation anyway, is the mousse one from Maybelline...i used to use elizabeth arden stuff...but my new one is so much lighter and it feels much better on my skin. So, i don't feel like such a greaseball. So, yeah, i'd recommend mousse, and if you're going out apply powder to take away the shine from the oily skin. Oh and to answer your original question i'd say yu have oily skin, most people's skin is pretty dry after they wash it.

You most likely have oily skin or combination, as everyone's feels dry after washing if the wash is too harsh. Try a neutral or combination face wash. Buy powder, in your color. All of it has great oil control, but Neutrogena's mineral makeup is great, and lasts a long time considering it's size, and is well worth the almost too expensive price tag.

You have oily skin. The reason why your face feels dry after you washed it is because you've completely cleared away all the oil, but that causes your face to end up producing even more oil, so you're greasier by the end of the day.
Look for oil controlling toners and moisturizer along with makeup for oily or combo skin.

Do you notice your skin getting oily on the nose, forehead and chin or is it all over? If you're oily all over, you probably have oily skin and would get good use out of a powder foundation. Maybelline and Cover Girl both make really good ones. If you're oily only on your nose forehead and chin (also called the T-zone area of the face), you have more of a combination skin. I would recommend a mousse foundation like the one made by Maybelline for your cheeks and the powder foundation for your T-zone. You may also benefit from what is called a mattifyer. It is applied under the make-up and keeps skin from getting shiny.

My face does the same thing. One good makeup that was developed for oily skin is called Corn Silk. Plus, I recommend using blotting tissue throughout the day. They soak up excess oil without ruining your makeup. If you want free blotting tissues, they are made of the same paper as those protective potty seat covers. I used to take a couple from work, cut them up..instant blotting tissues.

You have dry skin or combination. When it gets hot, everyone feels like that and you produce sweat and oil. If you are going to buy makeup and afraid of sweating through the day, use mattifying makeup.

Its called combination skin, or it may be that you have oily skin and are using too harsh of a cleanser.
If you produce oils throughout the day your skin would be considered normal to oily.
People with dry skin produce very little to no oils.

Get a beauty consultant. That is their job. Mary Kay Consultants are wonderful at giving the best advice. I would guess that you need the combination/oily face cleanser and the oil control lotion Mary Kay has in their product line.
I can help you out if you need a consultant!
