I started watching CNN and became a quick fan of Jack Cafferty's "Grizzled Old Man" reporting. He has since departed the mornings, now I go downstairs and stare at the walls (we have a TV down there as well, I just choose not to turn it on). If I stay upstairs and watch the news, the wife is bothered because she is frantically going through her daily regimen while I just sit there. So I just put things together for our trip to work (we work in the same building for different companies) which takes all of ten minutes. I would like to say that I use the time for meditation, but often I am catching up on Yahoo!Answers.

I start my morning by going to the bathroom. I no longer read Newspapers or Magazines, and I no longer listen to the Radio or watch TV. If I go on the Internet it is to check something out in the Encyclopedia or try to answer questions on P&S. The media has become so biased, that there is no point in wasting time listening to all of the pundits who put forth their own agenda, and do not report the news. As for Newspapers, the one I used to read was The New York Times, which has become so far to the left, that if the world was flat, the entire Tmes Building would fall into the dark abyss with all those hight priced "reporters" with it.

It used to always be the radio and newspaper, but lately I've become quite the internet addict, so it's the internet usually first off for me these days...
