If he does, I do believe the NFL will ban him for life.

If he doesn't and is found guilty, ditto.

The first option will be less jail time.

He has no choice...the Feds have the hammer, he has no leverage, and they're going to add charges in the superseding indictment that could get him 20 years if he would lose at trial...regardless of whether he ever plays again he has to take a deal if he wants to see the out-of-doors again while he's still young...

I found it interesting that a spokesperson for his legal defense team said they were "blindsided" by his friend(s) plea bargaining and by the amount of evidence and the overwhelming public sentiment against their client. Wonder what hole their heads were in?

If Mike doesn't accept a plea bargain, he will not only lose his PRIVLEDGE of playing professional football, but he will lose his PRIVLEDGE of freedom. But then he WAS involved in some pretty stupid activities.

If he's stupid enough to bring his weed to an airport with him then he's probably stupid enough to think he can get away without a plea.
