No, it is only 99% effective. There are NO contraceptives except for abstinence that are 100%.

Yes, every woman is different so one may experience side affects while another will not. You should talk to the doctor about which one to take and how it affects your body.

There are SO MANY out there... here is a site with reviews of each birth control method (except for pills, they have them all clumped into one) http://www.rateitall.com/t-330-birth-control-methods.aspx

It is 99% effective. Which means even if you are taking it as prescribed you have a 1% chance of getting pregnant.

You would have to look at the pamphlet that comes with the pills on what to do. Mine (Kariva) says if I miss one, I take it as soon as I remember and then take the next one at the scheduled time, and use another form of protection for a week. Some say you are fine and don't need another form so when you get the pills you MUST keep that pamphlet so you know what to do (OR call your doctor or pharmacist).

Let me give you some good advise, if you ever go on the pill and experience two periods a month, one is break-thru bleeding and that means you need a stronger form of birthcontrol. Go back to the doc and tell him or her that the pill is not strong enough and you are having two periods and you need something stronger.
