Yes, it's excellent. Rutger Hauer can't be beat for being positively the scariest person on the planet. The suspense is brilliant, and there's some wonderful lines. One of the many films that didn't need a remake.

Rutger Hauer is intensely cold in the roll of the psycopahtic killer, John Ryder. It kind of freaked me out as a kid.
Watch it before a long road trip. Watch it with someone you love. Just watch it . . . good movie.

Kicks *** on the remake! Much better direction and Rutger Hauer is an excellent actor and really suits this role.

Yes it is very good. Not watched the remake but heard plenty of bad reviews of it.

Yes, it's very good. It's one of the first films that really scared the crap out of me... Excellent : )

Oh god yes, its an on the edge of your seat thriller, its scary as well and it has the greatest twist near the end, rent it now.

Yes if i remember rightly, is that the one with Michael Brandon in it? saw it years ago but enjoyed it loads.
Edit - Sorry Michael Brandon isn't in it, I have seen it though and it's brill (the original)

Get it!. This film is real old school psychological thriller/horror. It sticks in your mind.
