On, March 26, 2007, ESPN announced that analyst and former NFL quarterback Ron Jaworski would be replacing Joe Theismann in the booth. Theismann has been offered a prominent football analyst job with ESPN.
Honestly am not that big of a fan of ESPN Monday Night Football. I wish it was back on ABC with Michael's and Madden.

I wasn't wild approximately Theisman, yet WOW--Kornheiser is the WORST!!!! I recommend, someway that team of commentators have made soccer look uncool. all of them make their lame jokes and suck the relaxing appropriate out of soccer. this is like listening to adult adult males at band camp speaking approximately soccer. nicely researched (perchance), yet completely boring. Plus, what's up with those non-activities interviews they shrink removed from the video games for? i do no longer certainly might desire to work out the what the adult adult males appear like interior the sales area, and because while is Charles Barkely (two times final season, as quickly as this season, scheduled), a tremendous-cool soccer concentrated visitor? AND on appropriate of each and every thing, they wait till the concentrated visitor has finished answering his long stupid answer, and all of us finally end up lacking some performs! Aack!! deliver returned Dennis Miller--a minimum of he grew to become into relaxing.

He was fired by ESPN apparently out of the blue. He was called in by the ESPN head guy and thought they were going to go over the season and ways to make MNF better and was instead handed his pink slip. Nothing I've read says Kornheiser had anything to do with it.

Theisman was just as bad at announcing a game as he was playing the game. He sucked at both. Thank who ever had the insight to replace him.

I wondered about that myself and I certainly hope so. He was terrible. If so, I doubt if Tony K had anything to do with it. Speaking of Tony K, I wish they would have given the job to Wilbon since he is more entertaining.

Theismann was fired, ESPN gave him the boot. That was step 1. Step 2: get rid of that moron Tony Kornheiser.

I heard he was fired. Which is good because you get tired of hearing of "back when I used to play". Didn't hear anything about Tony.

I'm just glad he is gone. The guy just was way to negative and critical and still sour about his career being ended short when L.T. lite his a%% up.
No more crying about the QB getting hit too hard.

He was demonted and kicked out of the MNF crew. He is still ticked because of it. I think he will be doing college games this fall.
