AH! how i wish i could answer thiw question in a word!
their have been times when i was full of ambition, a fire in my belly to achieve! but then all of a sudden like a player out of form i saw that i was missing my shots!
during the former, i felt i was living in true sense of the word and during the later period i felt that it would be a miracle if i even just existed!
the roller coaster continued till one day i realised while reading a mail that every morning its I who consciously or unconsciously and most of the time, subconsciously decided whether i would live that day to the fullest or just drag it along!

from that day onward i have made it a point to choose to live every day than just exist!

It all depends on the person to person, place, situation,education,mind & etc:
sacrifice, help,service to the society and etc will prove as a perfect man and his existence. But in the present world, a man has no time and mind even to help his kith and kin when they are in trouble;

A man's existence will be proved only his activities in the world which are useful to the society: If not there is no difference between him and other living things:

There are the "living," as in parents providing a living.

There are the "existing," freeloading grown children living at
home and doing nothing in the way of a job, going to school,
and not paying for anything that is provided for them in the form of rent.

Also. There are the "survivers," Who have did all that they can
in life, and all they have left, after losing their job, home, car,
family, friends. and lining up at the soup kitchen and sleeping
in shelter or under the freeway in the winter
.
Last. There are the "retired." many are living, and the rest
are surviving, by making a choice to pay for food or their
medicine. <}:-})

Any body can exist till death comes; it only requires movement.But in order to live one should have that zeal.That hope and faith - the presence of this alone indicates that a person is living and not merely living.
