First thing is of course to go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall Norton.
If the uninstallation is not complete, or does not work, you can try the Norton Removal Tool:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039
This works for all Norton 2007/2006/2005/2004/2003 products.

Why would you want to?
Anyway, to delete Norton, you need to go onto their website and download their Unloading Tool, save it to your PC and then run the software. It takes ages to do the full job, but it will clear the programme completely.

Go to Symantec.com and download norton removal tool.
It will remove all traces of Norton products.
The problem is that un-installing leaves loads of entries in the registry that can screw up loading Norton or others and can also interfere with normal removal.

Go to " control panel" . Find "install and remove software" and remove the software . NB Stay offline until you have installed another antivirus software .. it only takes 3 or 4 seconds to infect your unprotected computer.
