I am in the middle. It answered a lot of questions, but also, brought up some new ones. I liked it, my kids liked it, but there was still some cheese factor there.

Before you see Star Wars III , you should try to get your hands on a copy of THE STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL, aired November 17, 1978. It's so bad, that it's great, and I've heard George Lucas denies having anything to do with it.
The first 20 minutes are spoken completely in Wookie (no translation). It has the usual main characters with the addition of: Jefferson Starship as a holographic band; Harvey Korman as a transvestite robot chef on a cooking show; and Bea Arthur as a singing bar wench !
If you see it, you will never recover from it !

It's a GOOD movie!
I wouldn't nominate George Lucas for best director, but I sure enjoyed it. The Obi-Wan/Anakin relationship had a great arc.
It made the prequels worthwhile.
When watching the original trilogy, I suddenly could imagine what's going through characters' heads. For instance, When I watched Episode IV, and Obi-Wan and Vader first confronted each other, I imagined Obi-Wan thinking "what have they done to you?" and things like that. I loved the extra layer.

I loved it, for several reasons: 1) Almost all of the Jedi were killed (FINALLY; I only wished Yoda had been amoung them), 2) It showed how Anakin's powers had increased dramatically, although not as much as he would have thought; it showed how the stormtroopers came into being. One of the main things that I didn't understand, though, was how quickly Anakin went from wanting to report the Chancellor to all of a sudden becoming his apprentice. I also wonder how Obi-Wan won a battle with Anakin that he should clearly have lost.

It's okay.I've seen worse movies.Personallly,I don't think that it's one of the better Star Wars movies.Too gory and Anakin Skywalker seemed about as evil as a baby hummingbird.

It was pretty good a lot better than some of the other prequels. I think it was becuz the Master of Moviemaking Steven Spielberg helped him with it a lil bit. but I did think the movie could have been better if it was 'R'

prequels vs sequels
1. acting - sequels
the dialogue sucked in the 3rd movie
2. action - prequels
of course the graphcs are better but the lightsaber style is way better in the prequels cuz the other ones are like him using a bat and hitting people

It is a good movie, and the best of the prequels. I think it fits in better with the story and style that we got used to in the original trilogy. I loved the fight scene between Anakin and Obi-Wan, and the story of him with what's-her-name. I can't remember her name right now.
