I think reality has to be general in order to qualify to be termed a reality.... any particular reality would obviously be conditional existence.
The question therefore is whether there is any real existence at all or we the living beings just make it all up in our minds...... in other words, whether there is any reality.
I believe that philosophically speaking, reality can not co-exist with uncertainty... since we belong to and are bound by the 'time' dimension, and time is defined by change and future by uncertainty, the only possible conclusion is that any or all reality that we are privy to is indeed particular or conditional....and hence it has no real existence.
Am I making a huge assumption when I believe that general uncertainty and reality can not co-exist? No... on the contrary it looks like a perfectly logical assumption to me.
Over to you for your own consideration.

Your reality is not my reality. That makes the important reality (mine) particular. General realities are any that do not intersect with mine. Your choice is which reality means the most to you. General realities are interesting sometimes, sickening at others. I prefer my particular reality. I can find comfort and safety here.

reality is particular before and after our definitions, verbalised statements about reality can never be presumed to be the reality itself.
everything is one, we make it into many things by the use of definitions - we create all objects using definitions to separate them from other objects
when we are born we have no idea where our arm stops and where the world starts and until we learn to define that difference we think everything is an extension of ourselves.
despite our defining it's only a convenience to help us more readily undersatand and manipulate our environment. It does not change the fact that everything is one.
the chinese got this licked several millennia ago when they used the circle symbol for 'the one' and the yin-yang symbol for all division of that 'oneness'.

What is reality? We all have ideas, conceits, ideals, judgments and illusions of it...personally , I believe it is a particular thing that resonates inside most of us..we can agree or not agree..maybe you will be reincarnated or sent to heaven or hell or drift off into the cosmos..I do think that reality is an illusion..the only constant is that we die..that is reality..but,in particular, where our spirit will go,is..."What's up,Doc?"..Being non flippant, What is reality?Who really knows?

This is more easily understandable if one considers the actual scale of the components of an atom. If one takes into account the fact that the neutrons, protons and electrons of an atom actually have huge spaces between them it becomes clear that the atoms that make up seemingly solid objects are made up of 99+ percent empty space.
This alone does not seem too important till you add the idea that the atoms that make up seemingly solid objects are more of a loose conglomeration that share a similar attraction but never really touch each other.
At first glance this does not really seem relevant, but closer analysis reveals that this adds a tremendous amount of empty space to solid objects that are already made up of atoms that are 99 percent space. When so-called solid objects are seen in this light it becomes apparent that they can in no way be the seemingly solid objects they appear to be.
We ourselves are not exceptions to this phenomenon.
These seemingly solid objects are more like ghostly images that we interpret as solid objects based on our perceptual conclusions.
From this we must conclude that Perception is some sort of a trick that helps us to take these ghostly images and turn them into a world we can associate and interact with. This clever device seems to be a creation of our intellect that enables us to interact with each other in what appears to be a three dimensional reality.
I hope that helps to answered your question.
Love and blessings Don

Both. As the multi-dimensional field we share, reality is responsive to group-think AND personal choice (both the truth inherent in authentic being and one's programmed ego fears and attachments). Reality mirrors consciousness, hence our individual state of mind matters to the whole. Our misperceptions - as well as the truth about us - cause "real" effects.
