If your currently living in an apartment (US), what is your utility bill like? I know houses can be expensive, but I would not imagine it would be too much for an apartment.

A reasonable guess at a median cost might be $100 a month for heat and electricity; usually, water, sewerage, and trash are not separately billed to apartment residents. That figure is a year round average, and will vary by location and season. When shopping, inquire of the management as to their estimate of utilities costs.

There is no realistic average. Utility rates vary widely across the country. Apartments come in all sizes from postage stamp size to palatial. Older apartments will be less energy efficient than newer ones and therefore cost more to run.

Houses aren't necessarily expensive for the same reasons. A friend built a new place last year, nearly 4,000 square feet. It's all electric yet his electricity bill is a bit less than $100 per month on average because it was built to a high standard of energy efficiency.

I live in a one bedroom apartment in southeastern PA. My electric bill varies. The least expensive it ever was - aside from the first month - was about $19. The most expensive was about $58.

My hot and cold water and heat are included in my rent. I have other obligations, but they are not directly-related to the apartment.

Thank you for asking your question. I enjoyed taking the time to answer your question. You did a great job - not only for your information, but for every other person interested in reading my answer.

I wish you well!

If you are considering a particular apartment you can call the local utility companies and they will give you an average monthly bill for that address.

i can purely record my "elementary" month-to-month utilities in an house placed in Hollywood for a pair: a million. gas: $12.00; 2. Water: $30.00; 3. electrical energy: $25.00. different "non-elementary" optionally available utilities could be: telephone landline, cellular telephone, pager, television and internet connectivity. reliable success!

It all depends on your individual usage.
