Does anyone know who the last person to see Maddy other than her parents was, when and where they saw her?
I know that the parents where chatting to a friend Najoua Chekaya, in the hour before Maddy went missing, but did anyone actually see Maddy in the apartment before the parents went out for their meal?
A friend of the McCann’s Jane Tanner is reported to have checked on the children, did she actually check properly and see Maddy or did she just presume Maddy was in her bed, when in fact she might not have been, we all know that sometimes when you check on children you might just listen to them breathing in their beds, if she just saw the bedclothes she may have presumed Maddy was there, when she might not have been?
How many times have we known our children to put things in there bed to make us think they are in it if we check, when in fact they are not in their beds at all, most parents have experienced this at some point. Jane Tanner is reported to have seen a dark-haired man of about 35 carrying a child as she walked back to the bar afterwards but didn’t think anything of it. Which is what makes me wonder just how observant this Jane actually is and if she actually did see Maddy in her bed?
I am playing devils advocate here and not trying to cast aspersions of any kind, it is just my curious mind, looking at every angle. I would like to point out that I am not making accusations against anyone here.
It is after all reported that the witnesses have given evidence that conflicts in one way or another.

The only person who can presumably safely say she saw Madeliene last was the worker at the creche, when the McCanns picked them up at 5:30pm
There are also reports they went to dinner at 6:30pm with the children, but this hasnt been confirmed (AFAIK).
Even assuming this was right, then that means for 3 and a half hours, only the McCann and Friends can claim to have seen her.
As for Jane Tanner and her partner Russell. Well I think there are enough inconsistencies in their statements as well, so I wouldnt be taking her word for anything ........

I am in complete support of the McCanns. However, as this sorry mess drags on, I also feel that it may have been something to do with the last "parent" in the group, checking on the children. Did she see Maddie? Why is she the only one to have seen this so called dark haired man?
Most men in Portugal are dark haired. Bit of a long shot that one.

I think Jane Tanner is a "pleaser". In other words when asked a question, she feels the need not to disappoint & tells the asker what they want to hear. Pleasers do not do this out of spite or even conscious thought but it is a need they have to please everyone. This is why her story is never the same twice. Because she changes it to suit whoever she is talking to at the time, depending on what she feels they want to hear.

That is the problem , they were are all to irresponsible and selfish, or didn't care enough to check properly.They were to busy enjoying their selves to think about any of their children.If there is a claim that TV,footage has been found of The McCanns and Madeleine in the restaurant ,then that points to the fact that the twins were on their own, it just gets worse.

She was on CCTV at the "beach of light" bar eating tea at 6.30pm. And that is the only fact to be sure of. After that, who knows?

well.. i presume the last pps to see her (apart from her parents) would be, her bro&sis, and the person that took her... and some holiday makers..
