Why would anyone with an ounce of decency choose to be a troll?

I personally think as long as people keep responding to their posts even by telling them off they will keep doing it. They think it is funny to get a rouse out of people. If nobody responds to their remarks then they have no audience. If they have no audience they are not completing their task.

It's really simpler than that. In folklore, a troll, was an obnoxious, ugly creature that lived under bridges and other places where people passed. It would jump out, threaten them or otherwise cause unpleasant mischief.

Just some one at loss and stranded on planet earth.
Look green and having communication problems living in misery out there .
Should they come around.
Do pass them a teaspoonful of salt.
It's good for them.
So they don't look so green.

I always thought they were old and ugly and lived under bridges! And I definitely wouldn't want to be that!

This is the Scandanavian term for elf. Sometimes they are described as being hairy and ugly, although they are able to change their shape into anything they please.
