Nothing to be afraid of. Your mom once started too the first time. You can tell her when you feel a little more easy. There is no rush. If your period is irregular you will need to see a doctor. And eventually your mom will know it. I would just wait until both of you are relaxed and start the conversation to tell her.

Well, =) This is something very very natural for us, girls.

Take a deep breath, pick up ur towel & tip toe into ur mom's room and grab a pad then get a hot shower for urself.
Dress in something comfy n more wrap up..
(eg; no g-strings, instead of wearin a singlet, get a long sleeve t-shirt etc)

Don't be nervous my dear. It's a women's cycle.
You should only be nervous if it don't comes, heee!
I bet ur mom would be proud of u the nx morning if she learn about it and how u took the situation ^_-

First just take a deep breath, it's a lot for you to intake. Just go in her room and tell her, she'll completely understand, and if anything comfort you. She prolly won't mind at all because of what happened. Just try not to get so nervous where your heart is beating so hard it seems like you're doing some wild stunt. Just calm down, and everything will be okay.

just go wake her up and say mom we need to talk about something and it can't wait
tell her
I was super nervous when I started mine
my mom wasn't even the first person I told
I told my friend who was coming over after school
I started on the second day of 5th grade when I was 10 now I'm comfortable talking about it, but just wake ur mom up she'll be proud and make her promise not to tell anyone mine told everyone !

it's a part of life, that your mom is sure to be waiting for you to talk to her about...I don't think you need to fear her, or the outcome of your conversation...tell her in the morning, and ask her what should you do now? That is her job as a good mom, to help inform you and buy the things you need..I am sure she will be most helpful..

When I started my period I didn't want to tell my mom I got my period either so she actually found out by herself she saw one of my pads in the garbage can.

Don't be afraid, you mom is expecting this to happen to you and it is not anyone's fault, It's a natural phase every woman goes through. If she punishes you for it, then she is stupid and ignorant and a total wacko. I doubt that's your mom right? So have no fear, tell her

Yes, it's okay to wake her. That's what moms are for, and being woken in the night by your child is part of the job description. Better to wake mom and get confirmation and help from the person best suited to do it. Trust me, your mom won't mind. And congrats and welcome to woman kind.

Don't fear! Wake your mom up nicely and when she's awake enough to understand.. tell her 'Mom I think I've just started my period.'
Simple as that! I'm sure she'll be happy!
Congrats to you!
