Just remember this, mom has been through the same thing as you have and she most likely had the same anxieties about talking to her mom.

Be up front with your mom and just mention to her that you believe you may have started your period. It is normal for you to feel nervous, but mom will know how you are feeling and the more open you are with her, the better the communication will get. Trust your mom, hon. She can and will be there for you if you let her know you need her.

Good luck.

hi, yes of course tell your mum, thats why she's your mum for! Just tell her that you think your periods are coming on and believe me, she will very happy! Parents are happy when their daughters first get their periods cause it means that you are now a young lady! It will be right, and you'll feel heaps better after telling her and she'll be able to help you out what you need!

Yes, please let your mom know. This is important enough to wake her up for.

When I was getting ready to start my period I was trying to sleep to get ready to go to school the next day and then I felt something wet. I woke up and checked myself and sure enough it was my period. I woke my mom up to let her know that my period had started.

yeh go tell your mum chick she'll be able to explain everything. She's been through all this for many years more than you and can tell you exactly what to expect so nothing comes as a nasty surprise.

welcome to womanhood!

Just tell her.

She had to go through the same things you are going through.
