Well, there's no doubt that if they hadn't left their kids unattended every night of the holiday, we would not be having these "debates" would we? And Madeleine would most likely be playing with the twins quite happily.

As to them being involved in anything more sinister, well there's no evidence either way, (thus far), so I don't feel it's right to comment any further. What does make me cross though, is those "Pro" people who refuse to believe that it is a POSSIBILITY that her Parents had something to do with her disappearance. Statistically, you are more likely to be killed or hurt by someone you are related to, or know, so WHY should the McCann's themselves NOT be under suspicion? You cannot exclude them from the enquiry simply because they are "grieving", to do so means that the investigation is flawed and incomplete.

We are all concerned about Madeleine, but to pretend that her parents should not be suspected, the same as everyone else who came in contact with Maddie on the holiday, is "at worst, naive".

I wouldn't like to think so, no, but with everything you read online and in the press, it does make you wonder. I change my mind all the time about what i think happened to her, but i think that whatever happened, or wherever she is, the parents do need to know. I hope they haven't got anything to do with her disapperance, as i feel so so sorry for them when i first heard of this story, as i have children the same age and if that was my child missing i would be in a right mess. I just hope this story has a happy ending and she is safe and well and is found soon. That is the most important thing, Madeleine, and my prayers are with her, where ever is she may be. God Bless her.

No I don't think they were involved at all. Still hope that Madeline is found safe and well and returned to her parents. 107 days today I think..........Remember when Sarah Payne was abducted and all those who said her parents were somehow involved? And what about those who believe the Queen somehow "ordered" Diana's death, and those who believe (seriously) that the Royal Family are aliens from another planet. In any situation that attracts interest, there will ALWAYS be conspiracy theories, alterior motives that are trying to be covered up however in my opinion the parents are innocent of what has happened to poor Madeline. Sure they should not have left her alone, but that is something now that will haunt them forever!

AFDEE - their NEGLIGENCE DID NOT CAUSE IT, it just helped the person who took her to get away easier!!!! Maybe the person who took her had been watching her for a while, and had intentions to take her then saw the parents and friends dining and thought the child may be in her room unsupervised. Also that maybe it was that Madeline was taken on a whim.......an opportunist kidnapping???

I can't understand why the police haven't completely sealed off the hotel room until the investigation is finished, and that people have been allowed to stay in the same room while clues may still be there, e.g. the blood traces on the wall.. Why is it taking so long to analyse?

No I don't. I think they neglected their children and this
has led to someone taking her.(They had IVF to have Maddie so I would think this would make her more precious. That is the one thing I do not understand).
It would not take long to get her down to the beach and on to a boat and away. I think she is alive and in another country. (Probably somewhere like Mexico).

I wish that whatever has happened to her the mystery would unfold and let the McCanns have peace of mind. At least
if they knew she was dead they could start their grieving
and try to get on with their lives for the sake of their twins.

I think he did. I think there was an accident and he has covered it up. I saw him on TV less than 24hrs after Maddies disappearance and he was too clinical, too cold - unlike his wife who looked devastated. He was more interested in where the cameras were. I have to say if this were an ordinary working class couple and not a pair of doctors, would the press have been so sympathetic about the children being left alone? I don't think so. Why is it such a crime for people to ask the question. For a truly complete investigation, their role must be questioned.

Van der Elst, I too agree with her.

Yes people do kill their children in fits of anger, people do cover up what has happened, but no one is saying they didn't express any emotion. You are free too even if you killed your child, but they couldn't . They had to sit in the Tapas bar, they couldn't cry, Kate couldn't look devastated she would have to wait. As to the idea that all 9 knew and managed to hide it in the Tapas bar, that is ridiculous. This wasn't an adult that was killed but a 3 year old child. They wouldn't have told them afterwards, there would be no reason.

Why do people think its impossible for parents to kill a child?
In my town 10 years ago we had a case where a mom snapped, struck her 4 year old daughter and killed her. Not only did her mom, boyfriend and brother help cover it up but several neighbors tried to help cover it up. They knew the truth, yet lied to the police for her. Probably around 10 people were covering it up. They just about got away with it. The truth came out in the end though.
The moral of my story - sometimes people do bad things, and their friends will help them try to get away with it.

I really do not want to think so - but they are not telling the whole truth. I believe it is the fact that they left their babies alone and unprotected and that neither they, nor their "friends", checked the children properly as they have claimed. They are really thoroughly ashamed of it - but are too pig headed to admit it.

I do believe the child is dead - poor mite.

The only thing I know is that they neglected her and the twins which started all this and as a result Madeleine went missing. So I guess from that point of view they had.

No! seemingly in today's papers the Portuguese police said they may want to re interview the friends of the Mccanns again and the killer will be known today - I still don't think shes dead, and I pray that they find her safe and well, if you killed her would you bother moving the body?
