how do i stop bidding for something on ebay?

im really stuck, i just realised i haven't any money left, and on ebay now im the highest bidder and it ends soon, how can i pull out of the bid? i dont want to go in debt!
WOULD BE SO MUCH HELP xx

Sounds like in your situation, you're out of luck, because on the explanation page for bid retractions (http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/bid-retract.html), your situation is not covered. All that's left to do is contact the seller, and hope they will erase your bid. Just be really polite when you ask. Maybe you'll even get lucky, and someone else will bid higher than you!

You can retract your bid by using the bid retraction form:

However, make sure that you don't use this too often or your account will be closed. You must have a very good reason to retract a bid because it is a legal contract. Make sure you're going to have enough money to buy something before you bid.

see if you can retract your bid (if its less than 12 hours of the auction your pretty much screwed) unless you leave a message with the seller saying "PLEASE KILL MY BID, I DON'T HAVE MONEY A.S.A.P" then the seller can do it, if anything just take a negative feedback and don't pay it won't cost you much of anything.
