Mark Ricciuto has proven himself time and time again, he is not only admired but also respected by other clubs, has been a champion for the crows and a champion player in the AFL.

Great career.

Yeah he was a good player. I think he was the first Adelaide player I knew coz my older brother, who I looked up to, reckoned hew as the best player. Of course that was before the Eagles got better. But still Ricciuto was a great player, although I noticed he used to play for free kicks and often took dives. But then again I used to be a narrow minded eagles supporter and if a player got a free it was always the umps fault. I don't think he is the most admired player in the AFL(that's Judd), but he was probably up there in his day.

Mark Ricciuto is a good player, even though he is a Croweater. And Marco, I just read on another question he likes soccer, but please don't label him as not liking footy because he is a foreigner, I am a Yank and I love my footy. Marco labels footy followers as wankers, what about soccer followers, playing a game to tie, not to win. That is a wanker concept, you must play to win, too bad if defeating the opponent makes them look bad. If footy was like that, all teams would have a percentage of less than 103. Barely win, do not embarrass the opponent. Marco, unless you have something worthy to write about footy, stay off the footy subject lines.

I think he has had a great career. He seems (and I'm no expert) to have played consistently well, provided skilled leadership to his team, and set a great example for young supporters and players to follow. That's what being a captain is all about.
"Ricciuto's accomplishments since his AFL debut in 1993 include 311 games — two short of Ben Hart's club record — a Brownlow Medal in 2003, premiership medallion in 1998, three club best-and-fairest awards, eight All-Australian awards including two as captain, and club captain since 2001. He was named as Adelaide's "player of the decade" upon its first 10-year celebrations. He has also kicked 289 goals — second to Tony Modra for the club."-Ashley Porter

Mark Ricciuto is a true leader and respected by all fellow footballers. He is a great footballer and every club would love to have him playing for them.

P.S....To "They Call Me Parrrrrrrris" How has the umps helped or made Mark a star?

Marco.C.....you are a wanker, and a d*ckhead.

No Roo is not a doctor. Matthew Clarke is a vet. Liptak who played for the Crows a few years ago is a qualified doctor. Roo is just a GOD> and a fantastic bloke. But just a simple nice bloke who played amazing footy and who owns a couple of pubs ie. ALMA. And is a great DAD.

He's an absolute self made champion. The umps didn't make him one. He's is skill and courage combined and not a stand alone reciever like the way most of the players are going.

I never admired him for one second.

He was a thug & made a habit of sniping when hitting players (when they weren't looking). He was treated as a legeng - but only in Adelaide. He was a legend in his own lunch box!

He played two years too long & had to be told to piss off by the coach & other admin staff otherwise he'd be cut from the playing list.

He couldn't even make his retirement speech without having to read it from a prepared statement - that's how bright he is!

No. I don't particularly admire him. But then again, I hate the Adelaide Crows with passion.
