I honestly believe its unfair to put Bradman in the category of Gilchrist and Lara. Remember Bradman batted in those times when it was difficult to bat in. Not much to protect yourself from the genuine fast bowlers. Lara and Gilchrist enjoy full protection of their body. Secondly look at the record of Sir Bradman 99.94 is still a dream average for any batsman of the world but how many have you seen even with 60.00 in test matches? Lara and Gilly both are not dependable. Yes they are excellent players to entertain the crowd but on very few occasion they delivered when it mattered. I personally believe Ricky Ponting's name should have been placed above these two as he is a reliable batsman and a good leader.

ok this is pretty simple...
Bradman is out of the question seeing that he has long gone played the game and played in different era with timeless tests and not as good bowling as we have this era(no offense to him just stating the facts) So lets leave him outa the equation for now cause we all know he has best average..The end about that.

So the best batsman in the world is Probably(And I back WI and India) is without a FuCkinnnn doubt RICKY PONTING....Stats will tell the story.....I already told u im not australian so theres no favoritism....The fact is he scores his hundreds in style and almost evry innings he makes runs against everyone....Also He is kinda like sachin but now sachin is not in form so cant bring him up...at least not for now...THE LITTLE MASTER WILL BE BACk......

Secondy Lara (i back WI) is not the best,....His average wud drop to freakin mid 40s if he didnt have those 400 or 375.....the end...yes he can hit attacks but not consistent and a selfish cricketer.......not a team man....just stating what i hear and what seems to be oh so true.......

Now lastly Gilchrist is 2 inconsistent to be the best in the wold ...yes he probably one of the greatest one day batsmen ever but he has faded from tests since 2005 and he was once my favorite batsman with an average of 54 but has dropped to like 47 sad really

So in the end Ponting is the best then Yousef then Prob Rahul Dravid or Hayden or even Jacques Kallis and Chanderpaul----ALL OF THESE PPL ON Current form that is are the best of the lot also Sangakkarra

Going by stats, it is always going to be Bradman.
If you ask the current players, then it would be Lara.
Players like Gilchrist, Hayden, Ponting, Dravid can occupy
and slammer the opposition, but look at the stats of Lara, Bradman and compare them to the others.....they standout.

Bradman all the way.

During his cricketing years there were not so many match playing countries , no ODIs, no Twenty - 20s, no sponsors and no big money. Not so much attention and opportunity for instant audiences obtainable through TV and satellite channels.

No protection. Body line bowling was to be faced with guts and skills.

Comparisons should be made among peers.
