Sorry, but you need to be more specific, and if you have photos - please add a link for us to visit.
The information you have given us, is currently not enough - as it lacks specifical description such as:

- color
- length/width
- no. of legs
- type of eyes
- no. of segments on body
- presense of hairs on body
- if it is dead or not (and if yes, how long for? NOTE: If this be the case, the decaying may have alterated its shape)
- Weight
- Where it was found?

And of course, if it turns out to be unidentified, then you may have discovered a new species of insect. Remember there are SO many species of insects, and each year a new type/species is added.

There was a similar question asked a week or so ago, complete with a photo. Most answerers thought it was a house centipede; not dangerous like a garden centipede, but can still nip. They live on silverfish etc.

you say skeletal? was it brown? if so then it's a brown recluse. if they bite it will feel like a cig burn. it will eventually rot the area out. you can end up with health problems from this spider. you should look spiders up on the net, learn about them and the next time you will gladly squash it.

Sounds in basic terms like the insect is a Tree hopper, will might desire to be relating to the dimensions of two grains of rice, bright neon green. The insect is oblong and the front extreme of the physique is greater than the rear. The order is Hemiptera. Please enable me understand if i'm precise.
