whats the advantages and disadvantages for use of animals vs humans as participants in research?

What would usually happen is the scietist would conduct his experiments on animals like fruit flys first (if that is possible for his reserch). Fruit flys are 2 a penny, no one cares about doing tests on them, and they react to alot of things the same way that we do (don't ask me how). then they will upgrade to mice and guinea pigs and rats and stuff. Again, people don't really care about testing on them, and they will react in similar ways as we do. Then it will progress to apes, like monkeys and chimps etc. This is a bit more risky, as for some reason people don't like that. But, as you can imagine, they will give a much more accurate result. Lastly, after many years of extended reserch, when they are quite sure nothing too bad can happen, they will start testing on humans.

This is a funny area too. Animal activists would say that they should test on humans straight away, as they have a choice, and animals don't. But then again, there can be some serious side effects (noty too long ago we had a bad case of some people under tests who got very ill indeed). And then human rights activists get involved.

Basicly, the advantage of testing on animals is that you can find out alot about the chemical, and how it would react to living creatures, etc, without harming any people. The only dissadvantage is the apparent suffering of animals. It's up to you about how you feel about that. I think that it is nececerry.

The advantage of testing on humans is that you need to test a potentially hazardess material on a human before you can allow it to be aministered to them.

i'm in such a wedding ceremony (sixteen years now) and that i think of it is not an excellent deal as long as human beings placed Islam first and custom a much off 2nd. If a guy as an occasion needs an American spouse who will act like an Arab woman, then that's unlikely to artwork. The cultural transformations are actually not a barrier as long as they are valuable. In our marriage we've a coverage. the coolest from the two facets we include, the destructive from the two facets we dismiss. the good thing about using about animals is that you wont risk a human life but the disadvantage is that few things that worked for the animal might not work for humans.
