which would you choose, name or ranking, and why?

i am looking at graduate schools, for a masters degree. would you look at the rank, or how famous the school is?

contention: university of texas, arlington vs north dakota state univ.

Well since I am from the great state of Texas - I would have to say University of Texas all the way. Texas has some very good schools and Texas is a great place to live.
