No. I have obese friends who have suffered terribly at the hands of cruel people. There is no excuse whatsoever to make a child's life a living hell. Plus, the cause of the obesity in each case needs to be seriously examined. Someone I know was obese until doctors helped get her blood sugar under control, and now she is within a normal weight range. Severe obesity can often be a medical issue. Whatever the reason, verbally bullying and making fun of a child isn't the answer.

I think we should simply try to help them ,and promote exercise and health, as opposed to making them miserable. Seriously, when I feel fat I usually eat more. Weird, I know, but it doesn't help. I don't agree with all the PC crap about how overweight children are soooo victimized, yada yada yada yada.....but I do think we shouldn't shun them. That's kind of sick.

Anyone who would shun a child should be *****-slapped. obese children are not fat because they think it's cool, they are a product of either genetics or poor parenting skills. You suck. If I knew you, I would tear your @$$ apart.

no way!!! them being shunned is horrible for the poor kids...i mean imagine being a poor obese kid and everybody body hating you...youd probly commit suicide! what they need is friends and encouragement! And loving parents...who are their cheerleaders no matter what. [and who give them healthy food]
